Hello, my name is Bryan Smith, Starscapes^® Artist-Illusionist.

I have always loved the stars. When I was growing up, my family had a houseboat on a big lake in California. We went there nearly every weekend in the summer. Us kids always slept on top of the boat, in the open, underneath the heavens. There was no smog, no glow of city lights to obscure the cosmic view. I loved it, especially the moonless nights! I would keep myself awake to gaze at the seemingly infinite number of stars gracing the sky. Shooting stars abounded, and were a particular source of awe! "Oooooohhh!" "WOW, did you see that one?!?"

In later years, when I went there as an adult, I continued to spend nights on top of the boat, to see the greatest show on earth. I mean, if you could sleep comfortably under the stars, why on Earth would you have a roof over your head instead? Inconceivable!

These days, I sleep under the stars every night, since, of course, I painted myself a mural in my own bedroom. I love it!
